Mobilikey is a global mobile web based network
where individuals can setup personal or
business mobile web sites.
Although targeted at the microfinance entrepreneurs
the network can be utilized by anyone with
a web enabled mobile phone.
One of the most unique features of Mobilikey
is that each mobile profile is distinguished
by the users' mobile phone number.
Each user is allowed to create 5 Mobilikey
sites. The primary mobilkey site is based
on the users' mobile phone number. Each
additional site can be any word or phrase
the user chooses. For example, a user may
choose to have their company as one of their
site names.
Because Mobilikey is a global service and
a text message must be sent to the mobilikey
owner for validation, each primary mobilikey
site number must include the country code.
Visitors can access each mobilikey site
in each of the following ways:
- By entering the site name at http://mobilikey.com
- By navigating to the Mobilikey URL with
the site name trailing mobilikey.com i.e.
mobilikey.com/16045558954
Although users mobile numbers are used as
the main identifer for each user, privacy
is maintained in the following ways:
- User does not have to disclose any personal
information. The content of mobile sites
created on Mobilikey is entirely up to the
user. If the user chooses to not even use
their name, that is ok. The purpose of identifing
mobile sites by mobile number is to verify
that whoever created the site is real and
uses a mobile phone.
- Access to the user content contained within
the primary mobilikey site (the one based
on and addressed to the user's mobile number)
is restricted to users' friends only.
- Mobilikey site names can be changed at any
time.
- Page titles can be changed at any time.
- Mobilikey sites can be created and updated
entirely through the mobile phone. The interface
is clean and simple, requiring minimal instructions.
Due to it's minimalist structure, Mobilikey
sites load quickly thus minimizing potential
data charges.
Additional Privacy
Mobilikey will never send any type of text
message to users without their explicit
consent.
